Santa Barbara Botanic Garden Event Features Cocktails by T.W. Hollister, Dinner by Convivo, and Wine Pairing by Brewer-Clifton

Santa Barbara, Calif. June 29, 2022 – Santa Barbara Botanic Garden hosts a one-of-a-kind dinner party featuring dishes that highlight California native plants foraged from the garden. “Forage & Feast: From the Garden to the Table” features cocktails, dinner, and wine pairings with leading Santa Barbara County purveyors T.W. Hollister & Co., Convivo, and Brewer-Clifton.

The event benefits the Garden’s community access programs which help broaden Garden access to traditionally underrepresented children, families, and seniors in the local community. These include Museums for All, Senior Free Days, and Garden Membership “Checkouts” with the Santa Barbara Public Library.

Forage & Feast is held Saturday, July 29 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Garden’s Meadow Oaks area. Tickets are $500 per person, and sponsorship tables are available at $5,000 for six, $7,500 for eight, and $10,000 for ten. For more information, visit www.sbbotanicgarden.org.

Spritzer cocktails are provided by T.W. Hollister & Co., a family-owned company which produces sustainably sourced vermouth fortified with botanicals, some of which are grown on the family’s Santa Barbara County homestead founded in 1866.

Dinner is by Convivo, a restaurant located in the Santa Barbara Inn, known for its inventive, seasonal “Nomad Italian” cuisine inspired by local ingredients and utilizing the cooking methods of Italy. The event menu is a mix of family-style vegan, vegetarian, and meat dishes which include Black Sage, Wood Mint, and Desert Lavender, among other California native plants foraged from the Garden.

Wine pairings feature Brewer-Clifton wines which are produced using grapes grown in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation in Santa Barbara County. The winery focuses on cool climate wine grape varieties and is celebrated for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Event sponsors include Meadow Sponsors David and Brenda Anderson; Golden Yarrow Sponsors Montecito Bank & Trust, Frank Schipper Construction Co., Dina Saalisi Healing Arts, Alan Noelle Engineering, INC, The Aggeler Family, and Blackbird Architects, Inc.
