Elings Park Transformation Project | Volunteer Opportunities

Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s restoration project at Elings Park concentrates California-native plants on a one-acre site and compares the abundance, diversity, and composition of plant and animal life before and after the transformation.

The Landscape Transformation Project is seeking volunteers to help clear weeds, monitor plant health, and more. Volunteers will get their hands dirty to plant native seedlings and create a healthy and nutrient-rich environment for surrounding organisms. In addition to volunteering, you can also come with us on our monthly Nature Walks at Elings Park.

The remaining dates and shift options for this year are listed below. Please note you can volunteer for either shift or for the duration of the timeframe.

• October 17, 2024 | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR 1-3 p.m.
• November 9, 2024 | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR 1-3 p.m.
• November 21, 2024 | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR 1-3 p.m.
• December 14, 2024 | 9 am. .to 12 p.m. OR 1-3 p.m.
• December 19, 2024 | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR 1-3 p.m.
