Spring is the season of wildflowers! From the iridescent blue-violet hues of annual lupines to the orange blossoms of our iconic state flower, the California poppy, spring is the time of year to go out and admire the beauty that annual wildflowers provide to the landscape. Join us to learn all about the horticulture of wildflowers and how fun and easy it is to grow annuals in your garden.
Please dress in comfortable clothing and shoes. We recommend bringing a water bottle as well.
Although the Garden is dog-friendly, participants are asked to not bring their dog(s) to this class.

About the Instructor:
Alejandro Lemus was born and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up, he assisted his parents with their landscaping business. Some of his earliest memories are of looking at flowers, finding insects in the leaves, and spending many hours in the garden with his family. Alejandro has experience in habitat restoration, horticulture, and education. As the Garden’s Horticultural Educator, he is passionate about connecting people with native plants.
