This special day trip is seldom offered to the public and provides an unforgettable chance to experience the island’s wild landscapes and rich plant diversity alongside Garden experts.

Participants can expect sweeping coastal views and exceptional native flora, including goldfields (Lasthenia gracilis), Santa Cruz Island liveforever (Dudleya nesiotica), succulent lupine (Lupinus succulentus), San Miguel locoweed (Astragalus miguelensis), checker bloom (Sidalcea malviflora), and many more. This is a unique opportunity to explore a remarkable place and deepen your connection to California’s Channel Islands.

This incredible day trip will be led by rare plant conservation scientist at Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, Isabela Lima Borges, Ph.D.

All ages are welcome, however, participants should be in good physical condition. Guests will land at Forney’s Cove via a skiff landing.
