9:00AM - 1:00PM

Join Kathleen Adams Olsen, from Water’s Edge Fiber & Dye for a unique native plant experience at Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. Turn California’s stunning flora into a physical memory imprinted on a beautiful silk scarf. Be amazed at the results from your creative collaboration with the natural bounty that surrounds us on this very special land!

In this workshop each participant will create and take home a botanical dyed and printed silk scarf. The workshop will include a brief lecture and participants will have the opportunity to view examples of Kathleen’s work, followed by a demonstration of how to lay out the flora on the scarves. Kathleen will guide the class participants on arranging the plant materials collected by Garden staff on the silk scarves, provided by Kathleen.

Although the Garden is dog-friendly, only service animals are permitted at this Garden classes (or event).
