Fall is the perfect time to introduce California native plants into your home garden! Shorter days, cooler weather, and winter rains will help plant roots grow deeper, ensuring better establishment ahead of our hot, dry summer months. That’s why our fall member exclusive planting event is back!

Starting Friday, November 8, Garden Members will have early access to shop our expanded assortment of native plants. Our staff and volunteers will also be available to help guide you through plant selection and pass along some of our best gardening tips and tricks. To access this experience, you’ll need to reserve your shopping time via a free online reservation. This reservation helps us control the flow of traffic in our parking lot, ensuring you have the best shopping experience possible. Reservations are good for one parking space and one hour of stress-free shopping. We’ll also have plenty of wagons and extra hands to help you get your plants safely to your vehicle.

Please note, while the Garden is normally dog-friendly, only service animals will be allowed to attend this special Garden event – it’s going to be busy!

Here’s a few things you can expect:
  • Reservations Required: To help us manage the flow of traffic in our parking lot and ensure no one is turned away, please reserve your spot. No admission or guest passes needed!
  • Shop Time: Your reservation offers you one parking space and an hour to wander the Nursery. Please be kind and arrive on time.
  • Shopping Carts: Wagons are available to help with transporting your new native plants to your vehicle. Help yourself or ask a volunteer for support.
  • Inventory Restocking: There are no bad reservation times. We’ll be restocking the Nursery every hour with new native plants to choose from.
  • Nursery Staff: Staff and volunteers will be available to answer your questions and help you load plants into your car. Just find one of us and ask. (A huge thank you to our Garden volunteers for helping us better serve you. Give them a high-five when you see them!)

The nursey will be closed November 6 until 2 p.m. on November 8 when our kickoff begins.
