Join Keith Nevison, Director of Horticulture and Operations, as we take a tour of the Garden’s newest feature, the Torrey Pine Conservation Grove. This emerging grove features the Torrey pine (Pinus torreyana ssp. insularis, one of North America’s rarest native trees that is only found naturally on Santa Rosa Island. We’ll meet at the Pritzlaff Conservation Center Patio for coffee and pastries before walking the hillside with Keith, as we discuss why this future forest is so essential to the Torrey pine population, and how the Garden’s Living Collection acts as a safeguard for their future.
