Member’s Coffee and Pastries | Papermaking with Milkweed

Details:

Join us for breakfast and a show-and-tell demonstration with artist Barbara T. Booth. Barbara specializes in papermaking and artwork using recycled and repurposed materials, including paper made from milkweed and dogbane fibers. After we enjoy coffee and pastries in the Garden’s Library, Barbara will walk us through the papermaking process, from collecting the milkweed fibers to the finished product. She’ll also show some of her own art made with these materials, including coloring paper dyed with natural dyes. We hope to see you there!
