Details:

Enjoying outdoor living year-round is one of California’s most attractive aspects. Designing your space to support wildlife, promote beauty, and enhance your home experience requires planning and consideration of multiple factors. Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is here to help!

In this landscape design workshop design studio, you will roll up your sleeves and engage in hands-on design. Through sketching, diagramming, and note-taking, you’ll begin the initial steps of master planning your yard. By the end of the studio, you can expect to have clearly defined zones outlined, plant palette ideas generated, and a vision for how you will share your space with people, plants, and wildlife.

Note: Class participants are requested to park in the staff lot on the east side of Mission Canyon Road. Although the Garden is dog-friendly, we ask that only service animals join for classes and events.

Pricing:

Garden Members and Students: $25

General Public: $40
