Here’s What You Can Expect
The Nursery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and proudly stocks the largest selection of native plants on the central coast. And we have knowledgeable and friendly staff available to answer your questions and help you select the right native plants for your site.
Note – Admission is not required to shop, but reservations are required for our kick-off weekend event on Saturday, Nov 8.
- Reservations required for opening day: To help manage parking lot traffic and ensure no one is turned away, please reserve your spot. No admission ticket or guest pass is needed.

- Shop time: Your reservation includes one parking space and one hour to browse the nursery. Please arrive on time.

- Shopping carts: Wagons are available to help transport your new plants to your vehicle. You may help yourself or ask a volunteer for assistance.

- Nursery staff: Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and assist with loading plants into your car. (A huge thank-you to our Garden volunteers for helping us better serve you. Give them a high-five when you see them!)

Why is the Fall Planting Season Important?
Native plants are perfectly suited for our climate. They’re naturally water-wise, wildlife-friendly, and full of California beauty.
Fall’s cooler days, followed by our winter rains, make this the perfect time to plant California’s native plants. Getting them in the ground now ensures the roots have time to establish before the dry summer months return.
To support you in creating a thriving native garden at home, the Garden is restocking our nursery for the fall planting season with an expanded selection of tried-and-true cultivars and unique species from across California.
Every purchase supports the Garden’s mission to conserve native plants and habitats for the health and well-being of people and the planet.
