Why is the Fall Planting Season Important?

Fall is the perfect time to introduce California-native plants into your home garden! The shorter days, cooler weather, and winter rains help roots grow deeper, ensuring your plants are better established before the hot, dry summer months begin.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, we’re hosting our annual native plant event to help you start or expand your native plant garden.

If you’re a Garden Member, you can unlock early access with this link and shop an expanded inventory of native plants from 9-11 a.m. and receive a 10% discount. Beginning at 1 p.m., the Nursery will open to the public for the remainder of the day.

How to Participate

To access the sale, reserve a shopping time that works for you. This helps manage traffic flow in the parking lot and ensures the best possible experience for everyone. Each reservation includes one parking space and one hour to explore and shop the Nursery. Garden staff and volunteers will be available to assist you with plant selection, share gardening tips, and help you transport your new plants to your vehicle (wagons are available).

Please note: While the Garden is typically dog-friendly, only service animals are permitted during this event due to anticipated crowds.

What to expect:

Event reservations are required. Reserve your spot in advance to help manage parking and avoid capacity limits. Admission to the Garden and guest passes are not required. IF YOU’RE A GARDEN MEMBER, USE THIS LINK TO REGISTER.
