Details:
Many skills are needed to create an accurate, and thus lovely (as plants are lovely) botanical illustration. In this two-day workshop we explore how to trick the mind into seeing a 3-dimensional fruit (or seed, or cone…) when the artwork lives in “flat land”. Values, brightness, cool versus warm colors can all be used to make a painted image appear three-dimensional. And, as all botanical art sessions are “long dates with plants”, participants can get to know their botanical subjects intimately. Bring what drawing and watercolor supplies you have, Linda will supplement.
Pricing:
Garden members: $130
General Public: $140
Price is per person, for two days of instruction.
