BE in Nature: Practice Mindful Whole-Heartedness

Instructor

Location
Santa Barbara Botanic Garden
Date
March 7, 2024
Time

About:

Let the Garden’s natural beauty and wholeness remind you of your own. Sit, stand, walk, stretch, imagine, and BE yourself as we play with a range of embodied meditation practices. Whether you’re wanting to ground, branch, bloom, connect, gain clarity, build resilience, or increase compassion, practicing together in nature allows us fresh opportunities to breathe into our own authenticity, celebrate interconnection, and step forward with more awareness. Each month we’ll focus on a different theme.

On Thursday, March 7, Root and Bloom is an embodied exploration of the practice of rooting and grounding into earth. From this connection, we begin to feel a natural uprising of energy and a strength that supports us blossoming more fully into our own gifts and wholeness.

Please bring paper and pen with you to this class. We highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing an extra layer of clothing.

About Lalli Dana Drobny:

Lalli Dana Drobny celebrates how being in nature leads humans back to our own true nature. She has practiced and studied different types of meditation for four decades. She served on-staff of a large international meditation center for twelve years, founded Kind Mind-the heart of Well-being in 2002, and has taught embodied Writing and Mindfulness at Santa Barbara City College for twenty years. Her workshops integrate mindful awareness, movement and sound, writing and self-inquiry, Resonant Language, and ritual. Her work is informed by Interpersonal Neurobiology research and thousands of classroom collaborators’ experiences, experimenting with how practice, curiosity, and dialogue can build trust and create resilience.
