When it comes to improving and communicating design, visualization is a critical tool for ensuring that your ideas become a reality on the ground. In this workshop, we will explore some graphical techniques for visualizing and improving our design ideas. From conceptual diagrams to more technical renderings, this class will explore a variety of ways to communicate and improve our designs. Participants in this workshop will produce bubble, cross-sectional, and plan diagrams as well as perspective renderings. We will cover use cases for each graphical category, as well as techniques for success.

About Scot Pipkin:
Scot Pipkin holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona (2012). Prior to studying design, Scot considered himself “not an artist,” but through years of diagramming and practicing graphic communication, he has developed the confidence to use drawing as a tool to hone his ideas and communicate with others. While he still thinks he’s “not a great artist,” Scot uses graphics and his “design brain” for tasks that go well beyond garden design.
