Join us for a talk with Garden Docent and California Naturalist, John Sekula, where members will have a chance to learn about the value of native plants in the area of medicine. Our very own California native plants are used in over 7,000 compounds produced by the pharmaceutical industry, demonstrating that the health of our native plants and habitats directly contributes to our own health and wellbeing!  We’ll enjoy morning pastries and coffee at the Arbor Terrace before going on a walk around the Garden, where John will speak about the plants in our Living Collection that can be used medicinally. Come enjoy some morning bites and learn more about necessity to conserve California’s native plants!
