Our “Hort Unit” provides opportunities to learn about the propagation of native plants and Conservation Seed Bank, both of which contribute to the Garden’s work in plant conservation and maintaining the Garden’s exhibits. Plants grown here are meant for the Garden grounds, grown for specific exhibit areas, and tracked with a database and tagging system. Volunteers can choose a weekday shift.

NOTE: As of April 2024, the Garden has put a temporary hold on accepting new volunteers. We will be relaunching our program in the fall so please join our newsletter or follow us on social to stay connected.
