Mark Funk

Board Chair

Mark Funk has served on the board of trustees for Santa Barbara Botanic Garden since 2019 and is chair of our Finance and Investment committees. In addition to the Garden, Mark serves on several other for-profit and nonprofit boards. Mark retired after eight years serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mobile Mini Inc., the world’s leading provider of portable storage solutions. Prior to Mobile Mini, he was a managing director on the investment banking team at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. where he held numerous roles over a 20-year period. Mark began his career as an accountant at KPMG prior to joining Deutsche Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mark brings a wealth of leadership, operational, and financial expertise to the Garden’s board.
