Gardening Crew

Join the volunteer gardening crew and work alongside our knowledgeable gardeners weekly for a three hour morning shift.

The Garden’s 78 acres (31 hectares) need tending, trails need to be maintained, and special collection displays need to be cared for in a variety of habitats. Our staff gardeners can always use help in meeting the challenge of nature versus nurture. Join this growing group of dedicated volunteers who enjoy working directly on the displays and trails. Our volunteer gardening crews tackle weeds, prune bushes, mulch, rake, and support our mission of conserving California’s native plants.
