Research, development, and creation of the book “A Flora of Santa Catalina Island”

Summary

When complete, this book will provide identification keys, descriptions, and illustrations for over 700 kinds of plants found on Santa Catalina Island. It builds on “A Flora of Santa Cruz Island,” published by Santa Barbara Botanic Garden in 1995.

Goals

To aid in the identification, understanding, and conservation of Catalina Island plants and to provide historical and ecological context for understanding that island’s resources
