Project Dates

2021 - Ongoing

Summary

This project promotes sustainable practices in food-garden systems across the Santa Barbara community. Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s work explores and promotes the mutual benefits of creating native plant habitat.

Goals

To quantify insect pollinator differences across gardens with varying proportions of native plants; track changes over time as native plants are added to these gardens; improve practices as we learn which pollinators use which plants; and promote the benefits of native plants in food gardens
