Wondering how to water your newly planted native plants? Learning to water our native plants is the key to getting them established and creating a thriving native plant garden.  Join us at the Garden for a morning of demonstration and learning about the dos and don’ts of native plant irrigation. This class will meet in the Gardens library and will be followed by a walk around the Garden for demonstrations of irrigation systems and soils.

It is highly recommended that participants wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring a hat and/or sunscreen and a water bottle.

Garden Members and Students: $25

General Public: $40

About the Instructor:

Alejandro was born and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up, he assisted his parents with their landscaping business. Some of his earliest memories are of looking at flowers, finding insects in the leaves, and spending many hours in the garden with his family. Alejandro has experience in habitat restoration, horticulture, and education. As the Garden’s Horticultural Educator, he is passionate about connecting people with native plants.
