Kevin has a bachelor’s degree in botany and plant pathology from Oregon State University and has worked for different agencies monitoring plants across the West Coast. Most of his field-work experience has been in Oregon and Southern California.

Research interests: traditional uses of plants and how indigenous land management practices, such as prescribed fire and select harvesting, can influence biodiversity and plant population sizes
